I thought this was a joke
I was sent a link today and it went like this.
"Guys:
I started a Production Company with these friends of mine and we landed a 500,000K gig! Long story short I'm in over me head and am going to need your help, check out the reel I sent them itemizing production options and let me know what you think. I'd send you a DVD but You tube is just quicker."
So I watched the video and thought it was a joke. I was laughing hysterically the whole time watching it. Then,....I found out it wasn't. I started to feel bad, thinking that someone put their time into this, but what I really felt bad for was the clients that would receive this and that they actually paid money for it. I will keep my opinions to myself but will say that if someone out there is looking for a videographer please make sure you meet with them and see their work. There are three things I tell my potential clients when hiring their vendors.
1. the style or their work is to their liking.
2. the personality of the vendor is complimentary to their own personalities. ( you will be with the vendor all day so its a good thing that you get along)
3. Lastly the price is within you budget.
A well produced professional wedding video is an investment in one of life’s most significant memories. If you are thinking of capturing that moment for the screen, please do your research and hire someone that can give you the best possible product for your budget.
Some of the videographers in Indy I recommend (of course besides myself) are.
B&C Digital Media
IndyViusal
Magic Hour Productions
Northern Light Filmworks
by the way this is the clip I thought was a joke and was referring to above. the quote was a joke by the way.
