Love these emails

Received a great email the other day from the mother of the bride. By the way Pauline, it was truly my pleasure.

"Hi Jason, we watched Emily and Mike's wedding video last night at our home theatre and enjoyed it very much.  My husband kept saying that it was the best idea to have the wedding recorded this way by a professional. We certainly will recommend you to our friends who will be in need of your services."   Pauline

Emily and Michael

Emily and Michael were wed Saturday June 21, 2008 in Zionsville at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church. In a way this was like a reunion. I was working again with two vendors that I first worked with, in this church, once again. David Takayoshi of Line 11 images and Katie and Patricia Slama of KAS events, were both there. It was great as always to work with Dave, I really enjoy watching him work and the images he produces are always some of the best.  When ever I work with KAS Events I know the day is going to go smoothly. Patricia and Katie (a mother daughter team) always show up with a smiles on their faces and a knack of getting things to go just right.

Emily and Michael were a great couple. The day was perfect and following them around while David took photos was a blast. It was truly an honor to be a part of their wedding day. Enjoy the Recap

Chelsea and Scott were married April 5, 2008 at the Speedway Christian Church and had their reception at the Fountains. I have known Scott's family for a while now so it was a great time getting reacquainted with everyone. The photographer was Shelly Valentine. Shelly did an excellent job with the photos and is well worth taking a look at if you are looking for a photographer.

here is the recap from their wedding

Kristen and Patrick

Kristen and Patrick were married last year on November 17, 2007. This is the last wedding from last year I have had to finish up and whoo hoo! it is finished.  I am now pretty much back on schedule with projects after relocating into my new condo last summer.

Any way the ceremony took place at the Holy Rosary Church down town with the reception at Primos catering. It was a great time as I was able to catch up with a past bride from the year before. The whole wedding party was a blast and it was fun to hang out with everyone.

Here is the intro

and the recap

Thought I should update

Realized the other day it has been a while since I updated my blog.  So here it is, the news and summary of what has been going on in the studio. First off I have been hard at work, working on some commercial projects that have been a blast to do. Unfortunately I cant really say much about them since I have been contracted out by another company to do the Motion Graphics. The fun thing is that I have been working in After Effects on a Mac. it has taken a bit of getting use to but I like it.

In between that I have been finishing up or at least trying to finish up the last few weddings from last year. Almost done and I do have a Pre- Ceremony at the bottom here for you all to view.

The last thing I have been working on are some photography projects. Mostly kids, as I have been asked by some family friends  that have  seen some of my shots I have taken as a hobby. I don't usually  do photography but it is fun I should have some of them up when I get a chance.

Cystic Fibrosis Guys and Dolls Auction- Casino Royale

A few years ago I did some work for the Guys and Dolls Auction which is a fundraising event for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year Steve Stout (realtor for portrait homes, the community I bought a condo last summer) is going to be on the guys in the Auction. Steve is throwing a "Casino Royale" James Bond style bash on July 26 at Georges Grill starting at 8:30.

Steve came to me with the idea of doing a small piece to promote the party on the web. Well I took off with the idea and created this. Hope you all like it, a remember the cause is a great one so be sure to attend.

Thompson/Sines

Megan and Lee were married September 1, 2007 at the Indianapolis Marriott North. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and a nice breeze, which was great for an outdoor wedding.

Working with Jennifer Driscoll as the photographer for the day and Jim Cerone as the DJ, the day went smoothly. Jennifer did a wonderful job with the photos and I was able to incorporate a few into the printed material as well as using them for them in the intro. Jim kept the reception hoping as usual. Megan and Lee also had a photobooth which was a really cool idea. it was supplied by Say Cheese Photobooths. I must say it was a good day. Here is the recap enjoy.

“Indiana Freemasons Commercial”update

Monday, Paul Page (the voice of the Indianapolis 500) came by and we laid down a couple of takes for the Indiana Freemasons commercial spot. Its always a pleasure working with Paul. First of all his voice just makes a spot. He came over and without a hitch had different versions of the same 30 second VO in no time. I am honored to work with someone of his caliber.

The whole concept of the commercial is based off the Indiana Freemason website. Clean and simple. The funny thing is the "simple" looking graphics are always the hardest to accomplish. I think it turned out pretty well and am quite proud of the "finished" product. I say "finished" since its not really completely finished yet.

Any way here is one of the "finished" takes.
