Megan and Dan

I am currently finishing up the wedding video for Megan and Dan from August 26, 2007. The past few weeks I have seen quite a bit of activity. Which of course, is good for me, but takes a toll on getting things caught back up. The Fritz Pollard Alliance sent me some footage that they wanted me to work on, Easter Church productions, and some montages for other companies. Now that those are done, I have some commercials that I need to start up as well. Not real sure where all this corporate, event type work has come from, but I am not complaining.

Back to Megan and Dan. They were married August 26, 2007 at the Eiteljorg museum in downtown Indianapolis. I was asked to tag along for the wedding Rehearsal which was held at Victory Field, yes it was during an Indians baseball game. The surprise that I was to capture was an appearance from Indiana University's Straight no Chaser. By the way these guys can really sing.

Any way the wedding day went very smoothly. The ceremony was held outdoors, and the weather was spectacular. Their was quite the gathering not only from guests but from visitors at the White River Canal, as they stopped to look over the fence as the wedding took place. I had a chance to work with Andrew Scalini and its his photographs you see in the DVD insert as well as the opening segment for the Pre-Ceremony edit.

I am just about done with the Recap as well and should have it up either tonight or tomorrow.

update on the heat

I finally have the heater up and running, and let me tell you it feels great to have a warm home again. I found out the the ignition wire was pinched and shorted. This explains why I heard a large pop, kind of like when you start a grill and the gas explodes in you face. The technician informed me that it was a good thing I was home and turned off the power to the unit. Any way its warm and I am happy.

Where did the Heat go?

Well I hope everyone has been loving this weather. Yea, right. Anyway to top off the crazy weather we have been having I woke up Sunday to no heat. By Tuesday night it was a whopping 48 deg. in the house. Needless to say it was a bit difficult to get much done, but good news, Heat is back on now...Yeah!

Scratch that, Heater just went out again and now I smell gas. They will be back out Thursday or Friday but for now, shutting off the gas and getting the blankets back out. Oh what fun....

Betsie and Blakes Wedding Recap

Just finished up the wedding recap for Betsie and Blakes wedding from August 11, 2007. This finishes up the video except for mastering out the DVD. Once I have some pictures from their wedding I will be able to design the DVD insert and DVD menus. I know that Betsie is excited to see her wedding video, so hopefully the wait will have been worth it.
