Fritz Pollard Alliance

Just finished up a video for the Fritz Pollard Alliance. It was kind of a last minute booking as it was finalized the 21st and the event took place the 22nd. Before this I had never heard of the organization, but of course I did a bit of research beforehand to find out that "The FPA was organized for the purposes of promoting diversity and equality of job opportunity in the coaching, front office and scouting staffs of National Football League ("NFL") teams". If you are interested in learning more about the Fritz Pollard Alliance visit their website.

Troy Hill was the photographer and has been shooting the photos for the past 4 years. Its always great working with Troy.

I've never been a big sports fan, I always enjoyed playing sports but was never really into watching sports. It was interesting though, to see some of the coaches, scouts and such, that make up the sport. Tom Coughlin, coach of the Giants, this years Superbowl champs, Rick Smith, GM for the Houston Texans, Jerry Reese, GM for the Giants, Gary Kubiak, Head Coach of the Houston Texans, and many others.

Here is the section with Tom Coughlin awarding Jerry Reese the Paul "Tank" Award.

Harry Potter

I don't have much time to sit down and read a good book anymore, which is a real shame since the past few weeks have been perfect weather to lay on the couch in front of the fireplace with book in hand. I got a hold of the last two Harry Potter books on CD. "The Half-Blood Prince" and "Deathly Hollows". Wow, is all I can say. The twist and turns, plot twists, and all and all, just the great story that was told. I think I am hooked on the audiobooks as it allows me to still work while listening to the book. Of course its still not the same as sitting down and reading but oh well. I can't wait now until the new movie comes out.

Betsie and Blake's Pre-Ceremony

Just about finished with Betsies and Blakes wedding video. Finished up the Pre-Cermony the other night and am about to start work on the Recap. I received an email from Betsie today.

"We love the video and can't wait to see it finished! Everything was perfect from the song to the still shots, the whole feel of it! You have an amazing talent at capturing the little moments that we probably didn't even notice in the rush of the day and also at reflecting everyone's personalities. I know that the video will be our favorite of all the wedding related memorabilia. I'm so glad you had our weekend available and were able to be apart of our day! "

this was an email sent in relation to the Formal Picture edit in the post below.

Betsie and Blake

I am curently working on Betsie and Blakes wedding video. Betsie and Blake were married in Kokomo at the Luthern Church of Our Redeemer, on August 11th, 2007. Their Reception was held at the Kokomo Country Club where DJ's Direct kept the party hopping. Photography was by Waldek Photography. The day was beautiful and you really couldnt ask for things to be better for a wedding. Blakes family was great, as I arrived to their house as Betsie was getting ready, the house was full of anticipation as the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready. This was a wild group and I felt right at home. Any way I just finnished edditing the formal picture edit so enjoy.

Snowy day

Since the weather was so bad I wanted to stay in and take a break, Maybe watch a movie, brew up a good pot of coffee, then sit back a relax for a bit. Well that never happened. I got a couch as a moving in/X-mas present and had to go pick it up. Not exactly a day you wanted to be out driving all day. Picked up a friends truck from Anderson, picked up the couch at Costco ( they actualy have some pretty nice furniture), then loaded it into the house. After getting the couch situated I then had to take the truck back to Anderson. All and all, it wasn't to bad, listened to one of the Harry Potter audio books and dodged the cars on the side of the road.

Once I finally got back home decided to play around in After Effects and see if I could be creative in designing a fun clip to use on DVD's. Here they are, not sure if I will use them or not, but it was fun to play around for a bit.

Any way that was my day. Nothing too excititing but it was nice to take a quick break from weddings to gather back my thoughts.

Just finnished up a Formal Picture Edit for Dustin and Tammy. They were wed at Warren Park Wesleyan Church on August 18, 2007. The photographer was Melody carpenter of Carpenter Photography. We had a great time capturing Dustin and Tammy's wedding day.
We ventured out to the circle downtown to take photos before the reception. It was a beautiful day and even ran into Brandon and Cybil from B&C Digital Media. They were shooting some footage before their reception which was at the Columbia Club.
It's always good running into them as they are another team I highly recomend.

The wedding day went perfectly and the atmosphere was full of.....well love, these two truly had a bond that I am glad to have had the chance to witness.

So to view the clip take a look below.

When I was trying to figure out a good tume to edit the clip to I sent out an email to see if Tammy had any sugestions. with her annwer I also recieved this great comment.

"We have been checking back looking at the work that you have recently completed and posted on the blog....I CANNOT WAIT to see ours! You really stand up to your name Creative Eye Productions...you have such a gift!!! "

Thank you Tammy, Hopefully I have done my job and have lived up to such a great compliment.
