Maui vacation

Just returned from a well deserved vacation in Maui. My parents own two condos in Lahaina Shores. You know every once in a while a vacation is just what is needed to regenerate that creative spark. The vacation itself was very relaxing, no work involved, just a couple of good dives, snorkeling, good food and time well spent with family. This is a trip that brings together both my sisters and allows quality time with the fam. The youngest is in school at the University of Wisconsin while the other is planning to move to San Francisco. Since we all have a busy schedule this is the one time of year that we can kick back and spend time together.

One of the main goals of this trip for me was to gather some pictures that I could use to decorate my my new condo. I was able to take some nice ones but unfortunately was unable to get as many as I liked. My last day on the island we made the trip up to Haleakala, the volcano that formed the island of Maui. The goal here was to get pictures of the sunrise as well, at least for me, to be able to take pictures while heading back to Lahaina. Unfortunately the trip back didn't quite go as i was hoping. Little sis wanted to get back for "Sun Time" even though she wasn't heading back home for another week. Oh well "she is the baby, got to love her". I was able to snap a few from the car as we were heading back, especially some neat picks while driving through the Eucalyptus Forrest. I have to say the fresh smell while driving through is something you will never forget.

I cant say I didn't do any work as I met a jewelry designer, Shirley Lecomte, Designs by Shirley at http://www.designsbyshirleyhawaii.com/. she has some excellent designs you have to see for yourself. The jewelery she designs are great for brides. Especially the one I helped her out with. August 8, 2008 is going to be a very popular day for weddings just like 777 was. She has made two pendants that would be great as bridal party gifts. You should really take a look at her site.
